A note about lineage of this work:

This work was passed along to my womb first, and then my hands. It was a miracle when my womb was realigned. DeAnna Batdorff at the dhyana Center for Therapeutics taught me this work, and she was taught by Miss Beatrice Torres Waight, a Traditional Yucateca Maya Healer from Belize. I am grateful for the generosity and compassion of these two women, which has created massive impact in my life. Mama Beatrice is now passed; I hope to honor her and her lineage by continuing to remind women of their inherent power & sensitivity while practicing this ancient healing bodywork.

Since having my womb moved, I am more clear on what I want, what I need, and how to be direct and kind with my communication. I’ve felt more motivated, and just all around more juicy and excited about what I am creating for myself and my clients. I had several deep, orgasmic crying sessions in the weeks after where I felt the trauma coming to the surface and leaving my body. I so highly recommend this work to any and all women.

womb realignment & centering

What can I expect in this session?

In this session you will be invited to connect deeply with your womb space or your center point a through a simple guided meditation and breath sequence. Once you are in a meditative state, we will assess the position of the uterus, psoas muscles, and the surrounding tissues. If the uterus is out of place, we will work together on the surrounding musculature and womb itself using ancient Mayan visceral techniques to reposition this beautiful organ and bring your womb space into greater alignment & spaciousness in your body. For humans with scar tissue or uterine prolapse, we will focusing primarily on rehydrating that area and improving tone in the lower abdominal region. Each session is very different, as each person has a unique set of needs. Depending on the anatomy of the person, the focus may be womb centered or simply centered around the core of the body, the place we all create life from. The course of the session also depends on one’s willingness to process emotions or sensations that may potentially arise. To integrate the work, we will most likely use gentle techniques like Craniosacral Therapy or Intuitive Acupressure to leave your body, mind, and spirit feeling centered. Yes, it’s a big deal to have someone work on your abdomen in such an intimate way, let alone your womb. This work involves cultivating a sense of trust. Trust in your practitioner and trust in the natural healing power within the body. You will be supported to the best of my ability every step of the way. It’s an honor to work with women and humans in this deeply vulnerable and alchemical setting.

When is this session most beneficial?

This session is beneficial when you are experiencing pelvic pain, painful menses, or feel as though you are disconnected from your womb space. If you feel a little bit “off’” in your creative flow, disconnected from your feminine essence, or if you are just not feeling like your internal compass is calibrated. The aim of a Womb Realignment session is to restore spaciousness and balance in the womb space structurally to restore the optimal function and harmony in your center.

I am trying to conceive. / I may be pregnant. / I recently gave birth. Would this session be beneficial for me?

Womb Realignment prior to conception of a child is highly beneficial, but this work should not be performed while pregnant. If you are actively trying to conceive, you should wait until you know for certain that you are not pregnant before having this session. It can also be done at any point postpartum, however, make sure to be cleared by a midwife or trusted physician before receiving visceral manipulation work after a cesarean birth.

Is this session limited to bodies with uteruses?

Absolutely not. All bodies create from their center point and connecting with this space can be incredibly healing for anyone willing to venture into their tissues in this way.

How will this session be different for me if my anatomy is different?

We will still focus around the core of your body. This center point, often called Hara, exists for all, no matter who you are in this human body: your ability to create life and art stems from this center. Anyone desiring to feel a deeper connection with their core or more grounded in their pelvis will benefit from this work.
